At the Clinique Acupuncture Sociale d'Hochelaga, we wish to offer a space where the balance between safety and the needs of our patients is respected.
If you have a special need, please contact us. We will then be able to arrange a time slot reserved for immunocompromised people where additional hygiene measures will be applied.
Generales measures
- Masks are no longer mandatory in acupuncture clinics but are recommended, according to the latest recommendations from the Public Health Department and the College of Acupuncturists. This measure will be re-evaluated according to the evolution of the pandemic.
- Frequent hand washing is still required.
- If you have symptoms of Covid-19, colds, flu or other contagious illnesses, please avoid contact with others until your symptoms have completely resolved. Stay home, rest and stay hydrated.
Mesures pour les thérapeutes :
- Les thérapeutes doivent répondre à un questionnaire de santé avant de venir à la clinique. Si un thérapeute présente des symptômes de rhume, grippe ou Covid-19 il ne devra pas venir en clinique.
- Les thérapeutes ont l’obligation de respecter les mesures d’hygiène mise en place à la clinique :
- Nettoyage et désinfection des surfaces : Nettoyage avec germicide des poignées de portes, interrupteurs, chariot régulièrement dans la journée. Après chaque patient : nettoyage de la chaise, changement des draps.
- Lavage des mains avec solution hydro-alcoolique ou Savon contenant de la chlorexidine avant et après chaque contact avec un patient.
- Port du masque si la condition du patient le requiert.
- Informer les patients de nos mesures concernant la covid-19 et aide pour rescheduler un rendez-vous en cas de symptômes. Nous vous poserons des questions concernant les symptômes covid avant chaque rdv.
Mesures pour les patients:
- Si vous avez des symptômes de rhume, grippe ou Covid-19, incluant de la toux, éternuement ou mal de gorge, nous vous demandons de ne pas vous présenter à la clinique.
- Si vous souhaitez que votre thérapeute porte un masque, l’en informer à votre arrivée.

General Guidelines for Personal Self-Care:
- Masks are not required but recommended as per Québec Health’s dictates.
- Practice good hygiene: frequently wash your hands.
- If you have the symptoms of a cold, flu, or COVID-19, stay at home and keep a safe distance from others until those symptoms have completely disappeared. Rest & hydrate yourself.
Practitioner Guidelines:
- Practitioners complete a health self-assessment check before coming to work. Any practitioner who has the symptoms of a cold, flu, or Covid-19, including any coughing or sneezing, will not come into the workplace.
- Practitioners and staff will be completing higher levels of frequent cleaning of “high touch” areas in the clinic space:
- Treatment rooms: In addition to regular cleaning, door handles, chairs, and surfaces will be sanitized after each patient, and all linens that come into contact with a client are laundered after each appointment.
- Reception area: In addition to regular cleaning, the Square pin pad, phone, keyboard, desk surface, customer ledge, pens, and door handle will be sanitized multiple times throughout day.
- An instruction to cancel or reschedule appointments is provided to clients through the open-acu system’s booking and appointment reminder notifications. Additional routine screening/questions of customers for symptoms before providing a service may be conducted.
Client Guidelines:
- If you have the symptoms of a cold, flu, or Covid-19, including any coughing or sneezing, you are being asked to not come into the clinic for your appointment.
