Ivan Alejandro Velasco Davalos
Ivan is interested in pedagogical methods that aim to recognize and integrate ancestral knowledge applied to well-being from a decolonial, holistic and mindfulness-oriented scientific perspective.
His approach is mainly inspired by Tolteca / Nahuatl philosophy. The name Kinami, from the Mayan word Ki-Nam, refers to vital energy. The Zen concept, from Mahayana Buddhism, emphasizes the importance of meditation and intuition.
He offers a safe, caring space, and is sensitive to the realities of people who have experienced violence or other forms of oppression. His passion for conscious touch goes back to his childhood, inspired by the wisdom of my grandmother. I've been practicing healing and massage techniques in the Toltec approach since 2014. He holds a certificate in relaxation massage therapy obtained in Mexico. He also has certifications in Reiki 1 and 2 energy healing, as well as a shiatsu certification with professeure Bianca Dirani obtained in Montreal / Tio'tia:ke. This includes notions of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
